Whatever Happened To Carol Marin?

For those that go way back, Carol Marin started at WBIR. Locally, she will forever be associated with the Ray Blanton scandal.

She has really made her mark as a journalist in Chicago. As far as I'm concerned, she is a living legend in the industry and a rarity for asserting her independence.

I know from my own experiences as a newspaper reporter, I had to exert a level of independence when called upon to do some things that I felt were unethical or questionable. It is a tough situation to be in, but somewhere you have to draw the line. I, like Carol have no regrets.
